Orphanarium began development during Global Game Jam 2016 but it was abandoned by everyone involved, except me. Two years later I started working on the game alone and it took me 5 weeks until I was satisfied with the result, for the time.

The game had a few bugs and inconsistencies, not to mention missing details that became apparent over the next couple of years. This Jam gave me the opportunity to finalize it, so this is pretty much the final version of Orphanarium!

Nice game you got here! I like the concept. The audio was decent and I absolutely love the artstyle.  It reminds me of this old game called Adventure Quest! I thought it was a bit difficult at the beginning so maybe a quick tutorial or maybe just teach the player how to get acquainted with the game? Other than that it was really fun! I enjoyed playing, keep it up!

Really cool game man! A lot of work has been put into this and the characters are really cute! Also you added more endings which is really cool. I only did one playthrough but it was fun! In regard to improvement points it would be great to have full screen or change the resolution haha but that is really all! Awesome job bro! Find my video review below: (sorry for restarting a couple times lol)

It is a nice creative game, that is really fun to play. I liked the music, the cutscenes and the idea of the game. But, this game is hard for absolute beginners, so you need to at least have one level before Level 1, to show the player how to evade the real and imaginary monsters/enemies and show the player how to play practically.

To conclude this game is really awesome. And I really loved it.

Thank you so much for your detailed review! The game may not be for absolute beginners but it does have a gradual difficulty progression. You start with a few obstacles that you learn to avoid, then you have the first moving enemy. From then on, each level you revisit, it gets harder. I'm glad you liked it!
