This idea started around 1.5 years ago, with the idea of 2D recursion in mind. I always wondered how to do 2D recursion - 3D recursion portals rely on multiple cameras to make the illusion, so how do you do it with one camera? This started out as test scenes, then later on when GGJ hit i just took the theme and designed the overarching story to it. Overally, it took me 1+ to look into this project due to my personal lack of discipline in finishing projects.

THIS IS A REALLY GREAT GAME!!! What a cool idea. I like how you let the player discover what’s going on during the first sequence, but nothing ever feels too difficult or puzzling. I was confused about the meaning of the very end though. I tried to bring the friend to the squares so we could both talk to them but that didn’t work so I… well… let’s just say I was really uncertain if I was supposed to do that :P

There’s a lot of nice touches, like the pseudo-3D-ness of the camera, and the camera movement when shooting. Overall I really really enjoyed playing it.

Yes you can bring the friend (which is a mirror you) to them, but ultimately i didnt have enough time to code a branching storyline from that part on wards. Thanks for playing and enjoying it, I really appreciate the feedback :D
