if you did it yourself in C++, I can’t even imagine how much work you put into it, the game is very atmospheric in my opinion, and the music is also good
The buildings didn't seem to do anything until I bought the restaurant and then the newspaper started making money but the restaurant didn't. I agree that the music needs a longer loop because it's perfect for the game but such a short loop becomes annoying. I really like the art and the general idea of the game. It just needs some more refining. Also, since everything else is controlled with the mouse I would suggest a clickable button to pull up the phone, rather than the Tab key.
Ok, I see. For some reason I have to click on the buildings to get them to start generating money?
Yes, but once you buy a manager, you won’t have to 😉
I had already bought the managers. That's why I was confused. They didn't auto start generating when I bought them. I had to click on them but, as I said, when I clicked on the restaurant the newspaper suddenly started up even though I had the manager for both.
Very nice little idle game, my lemonade stand manager was working very fast! Progression was paced well, would be nice to see an income per second stat when hovering over the buildings for a little more info if you were looking to develop any further. The music was nice, but it could have used a longer loop as it felt a little repetitive after a while. The clicking sound effect as money came in was very satisfying
Thanks, but I left this project to focus on something better 😊
No worries - best of luck with the new project :)
