There’s some nice exploration to be had here, even if it’s apparently a matter of luck whether you reach the end in minutes or never find it at all! A lot of the fun is lost to jumping/falling into enemies, though—especially those spinning spike things, which seem able to hit you several times.

There are other little glitches that would be easily overlooked if the exploration felt more consistent. (The animations stutter a lot. The graphics vary wildly; the player character looks great, but the clouds, not so much… and I’m not even sure why they’re there. The sound effects often seem to have no connection to what’s happening in the game.)

I played this a while ago and for some reason I finished the game in under 2 minutes if I remember correctly. I tried it out again and this time it was a lot more fun and challenging :)

Yeah, I made it harder

Good call :)

enjoyed playing your game :) one question: is there an end of the level?

however, here's one thing that i did not like that much: the enemy placement feels a bit weird/unfair as you are mostly hit when falling (press shift) down

This was a neat little game! Overall it looks quite good and the art & animations worked well together. One thing I didn't like though is that often times damage feels unavoidable - like you leap up into a room and there's a chance an enemy will be in that spot and hit you instantly without much recourse? Felt a little unfair at times. I enjoyed it though nonetheless.

Thanks for playing. As it is my first roguelike game, the generation mechanics aren't perfect.
