Excellent Job! Good idea and great visuals!

This is such an amazing game! Well done on getting it done after all the time you put into it. Music is great, art is amazing, funny humour, controls are tight, and just when I got bored of the early easy puzzles, I could skip a few and go into the more challenging stuff like Section A. My personal favourite of the jam so far.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And you're the first person to find a secret area (and tell me about it) so congrats on that :)

Really nice game!! I love how you need to think forward and plan your moves. Audio and Visuals also very good.

Love the limited color palette yet the pixel graphics are beautifully detailed! really feels like you are a cog in a giant robot machine! puzzles are fun and the overall feel of the game is just wonderful. Good game!

Looks nice on the screenshots but Mac version doesn't appear to start. Running macOS Monterey (12.1) if that is of any help.

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that. I built it on a very old mac running Catalina so I hoped it would be forward compatible with most systems, but maybe not. That's too bad. Thanks for giving it a go and letting me know though.

Beautiful! Really great-looking game. I like the story connecting everything, too.

This game is amazing!!!  I love the art style of it a lot -the story bits and designs too -such a cool vibe to this.  Very creative, smart puzzles and really fun -fantastic work! :D

Also stuck on level 8. Any tips? would love to see the rest of the game.

Developer

Sure - so this level's a bit tricky. And trying to solve it with trial and error can become overwhelming.

In essence though, player B just needs to trigger the falling blocks in the correct order. So you can start by deducing that the large block closest to B's starting location cannot be touched first, because it would permanently block A's escape. Then you can consider the smaller block touching that block at the bottom right - you can touch it first without trapping A, but then B either has to go down to that lower area (where they'll be stuck), or touch the first block we looked at, which again would trap A. So you can rule out that block as the 1st touch too.

You can kind of proceed in this manner, deducing which blocks are touchable in what order to solve the puzzle.

In top 5 of this jam! The difficulty is above my skill levels (A-5), but I appreciate it's always my fault. I will definitely get back to this after rating.

Developer

Thanks! You can always save that sector for later while you hone your platforming skills on the more "puzzly" levels!

Loved the mechanics and vibe! The puzzles were just the right level of difficulty to be satisfying.

Nice game and idea . I am going to give it five stars

Wonderful game! The puzzle mechanic is a great concept and it’s well executed. The graphics are outstanding and the robots are full of life and charm.

(I cannot for the life of me get past level 8, though, and it’s bothering me. I must surely be missing something obvious… it just seems so much harder than it ought to be compared to the previous levels!)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I just gave some hints about level 8 in a reply to another comment if you'd like some help with it.

What a wonderful and unique puzzle game concept. I think you'll have a lot of good exploits for this idea. Don't forget to check out the prototype of my upcoming roguelike dungeon crawler. Although it's just a prototype, it already has a lot of content. I really need feedbacks to improve my game.

Developer

Thanks! I'll check it out.

Absolutely brilliant game! The puzzles are very satisfying to solve and the controls feel great. The music in loop also sounds great and visuals are very nice. The game that I played the most from this Jam so far. Do you plan to add controller support?

Developer

Thanks a bunch! I wasn't planning on adding controller support, but that's a great idea so I'll add it to my list. I think later on down the line I may release some kind of expansion so it would probably make sense to include there.

Wow 5 stars for that puzzle mechanic, hoping it's original. Pixel art is cool and has character (love the color palette). With some more content and refining, I'd buy this for $10

Developer

I think it's original!  Or at least, I haven't seen it anywhere before. Thanks for playing!
