This is a really great set of 5 mini-missions! Just enough content to have a good structure to place these into an ongoing game without having to change everything to suit your version of a Paranormal Cold War.
Definitely something I'll look into using when I try & get my friends into this game!
Intermezzo is a series of five post-mission scenarios for FIST.
The PDF is 2 pages, cleanly organized, and uses a lot of black and white contrast to make the text pop off of the page. It's overall easy to read, although some numbers are clumped a little close to the text that follows them.
The scenarios are mostly combat oriented, but one makes for a nice weird investigation and another is sort of cozy in its own way.
Overall, this is a great tool for adding some interstitial action to a FIST campaign. If you're running a series of missions and want a little more connective tissue to string them together---or if you just want a cool bonus act at the end of a mission---give this a look.
Intermezzo instantly gives you a scenario and drops you into playing FIST, and it is excellent at doing so. It doesn't go into too much detail, which is perfect: You get an idea of what's going on, and you fill in the gaps to make it fit with your group. The contents of the tables are excellent and evocative. Intermezzo will definitely make my FIST-running easier, and it no doubt will make yours as well. Oh, and it's so clean looking! The graphic design is great.
Do you have a gaming session coming up and you just need a little helping filling out the blanks of your missions? Did you get really busy and didn't plan *anything* but don't want to give up a rare night when everyone can make it?
Either way, thank god there is Intermezzo. With five different scenarios and over a dozen exciting tables spicing up your game with thrilling action and espionage is as easy as rolling some dice. I'm very excited to have Intermezzo on my shelf and even more excited to take it a little easier on game night.
A trifold brochure with a series of oneshots. Script is a bit densely packed, but boy is it well done.
