Hi! There's a video I've been meaning to make for a while that I just finished, which is instruction on a Blender workflow for mapmaking on a globe. I think it's useful to two groups of people.
- You like drawing world maps, and you want to see what your map looks like on a globe.
- You are running a game on a world that you have a digital map for, and you want to make a paper globe with your map on it to show your players.
The tutorial also briefly shows how to draw directly on the globe with multiple layers, the way you would in 2D drawing software.
I like having a paper model of my world to show the players. If anybody uses this for something else, I'd love to hear about it!
