Like other games in the jam, interesting concept but executed a bit strangely. I think that the game would be better if you lost health when hitting an enemy rather than losing money. you would have far lower health than cash, and wouldnt be able to replenish it, so you would actually want to attack the enemies so you dont lose your ever important health, and would lost money, but you could earn it back. This would make the risk and reward better. because you lose money by attacking, there's really no benefit in attacking enemies as you lose cash when attacking an enemy and when running into one. Both options have the same outcome. I also think the game was a bit too easy, you can kind of just jump over all the enemies and not throw any of your money. But the game functions fine, and has potential to be a fun time waster.
Thank you!
I am hoping to work on this game again after taking a break from it. I will keep your feedback in mind when planning changes.
I agree I made the game way too easy and gave them way too much money. Something else I could do to reduce the amount is use a different currency (using anything else would make it a different game).
I didn’t have time to add a lot of the gameplay feedback I had hoped for. One of which would be an indicator of how much you gained or lost. The game is meant to be a strategy game, rather than a platformer. By throwing money, you lose 4x less than you would if you had gotten hit.
