Easily the best game.. I am in love with the aesthetics and the music f the game... It is very impressive you didn't even used any pre-existing assets...  (you should make a GOTY edition too)

Pretty neat to see something Metroidvania-like, though the jump is SUPER floaty and made certain platforming bits kind of annoying. The story bits were cute and the graphics and audio are very nice. Overall, I liked this game quite a bit.

Thanks so much for playing and commenting! Definitely wanted to make a little love letter to Metroid. We're taking everyone's feedback on board and working on a more polished build overall (art included) for after judging closes. Thank you again!

The music, pixel art, animations, are all great. I think the story that it's telling looks good too. I tried for a long time, but I just couldn't get used to the jump to make it very far in the game though. The jump is so floaty and you move so far when you press a direction, it makes the jump arc difficult to control and land where you want to. I think it seems like a cool start to this game.
