Theme interpretation
“Found Sound” is a “Moonshot” in two ways. Our hero Foley’s moonshot is his quest to create music out of his weird & chaotic surroundings. He must overcome several obstacles in order to add his own unique spin on the world he inhabits.

On a more literal level, only one member of our team had ever attempted designing a video game before, let alone an extremely ambitious one that includes an immersive world with over 10 unique characters, 4 original songs, and tons of original code. This project is, in and of itself, a moonshot by a team who has never worked together. We think JFK would be proud!

Nice graphics and music, I find the sound recording logic pretty interesting.

Gameplay is  a little confusing, I ended up wandering for the whole map randomly understanding bit by bit how to progress. Music transitions were unexpectedly sharp (music also stopped completely, don't know if it's a bug but felt strange) and map transitions too, where movement immediately switched from horizontal to vertical and vice versa.

A nice result overall!

Really good music, cool idea, and some cute characters! The objectives were a little confusing especially the last one needing the trash can specifically, and due to the long walks between locations trying out different noises felt a little tedious(this was probs just due to lack of time tho).  Overall good job!

Hey, I thought the idea was pretty novel and interesting. However I kinda didnt know how to progress through the game? Is the gate meant to open after recording/playing the first sound?

You have to walk downward and play it in front of your dad. I had similar confusion on that and the final quest.

I like the idea!
