Game description
Embark on an exciting adventure as a brave seeker of forgotten secrets! Your mission is to explore the depths of ancient ruins and uncover three hidden secrets to claim victory. However, time is not on your side. The ruins are highly unstable, and every second brings you closer to losing it all. Speed and strategy are key to your survival.
This project is currently a concept prototype and not a fully completed game. At this stage, there is only one location with randomized paths and a few random events.
Theme interpretation
The main theme of the jam was "Secret," which inspired me to create a game centered around a character searching for hidden secrets. While the current implementation is quite abstract, the concept aims to embody the idea of unraveling mysteries. Additionally, the game incorporates random events, ensuring that the outcome remains a secret for the player on every playthrough.
The first Wildcard, Small Palette, influenced the choice of a retro pixel art style. I designed the game using a limited four-color palette: white, yellow, red, and black, adding a nostalgic visual element.
The second Wildcard, Speed Run, became the foundation of the gameplay. Players must complete their quest within a limited timeframe, creating a fast-paced and strategic experience.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t implement the third Wildcard during the jam, but I hope to add it in future updates.
