I loved the idea but sadly pico doesn't work well in browser when used with letter keys (it fails to capture the keyboard input, so I couldn't use X or Z, could only walk around until I died).
Thanks for trying my game out! Sorry that your controls don't all work in the browser. Does downloading help?
I found this game to be really unique, it remind me of dungeon crawler in first person. The only downside of this method is sometimes I don't know where I am look. But overall, it's a solid game especially on pico-8
