Really successful and funny game with little surprises. The gameplay and sounds are great. I had to laugh a little when I used the sword for the first time :) It's a game that you can definitely play again and again

Great game felt like you’re fighting mogs in a Minecraft FPS. Like the clicking SFX from the shop keeper!
quite impressive surroundings, super clean movement and a shop keeper to die for. and did I actually smell some random elements in your levels? whuuuuut?
unfortunately, no keys for me either. thought i was going mad for a minute there. or was that the intention all along?
Thanks for your kind words! Yes, we have nearly 10 levels, which will be loaded in randomly.
Since we never had any key-related issues while playtesting (even up to stage 70), could you check if:
A: The last enemy in the stage drops gold,
B: If you kill the laste enemy by sword, you may have already picked the key up at the moment it has spawned (you can see if you have the key via the UI in the top left corner).
Sorry for the problems tho. :(
Wow, very nicely presented! I struggled to understand how to get gold and what to do when I ran out of crossbow ammo so I didn't get too far. But visually very nice and good job on the submission! 😎

Fun little roguelite in service of our mighty bongo overlords! The sound effects are really nice (miaaauuu?) and a fun surprise at the beginning considering the surprisingly dark atmosphere for it's memey inhabitants. The enemies are a little difficult to differentiate in the dark atmosphere though and I soon just saw them as characterless blobs (and ghosts) sadly. Also while the change in scenery per arena is nice the shops (outside of a certain gathering) become very repetitive very soon and it doesn't help that for a while I cannot purchase anything thanks to the steep economy. While I only made it to stage 17 and only just unlocked the first sword upgrade it was nice to see that it actually changes visually, too bad you only see it partly (only the blade really) in this narrow FOV while it hides behind the health bar in the middle of the screen. Overall fun game jam game though!
Hmm I'm not sure what I did wrong but I got 3 times stuck on stage 2. Couldn't find a key to progress forward.
But the sound and visuals are great! it all feels really good, just wish I could play it a little further :)
Welp, this game woke me up.
I played for a good while to see if the gold gathering got faster, but ended up dying before I could buy anything with it. Now I'm wondering if I could've used the money after death.. Oh well, great game jam game, thanks for the experience!
Some of my thoughs
- I love the initial splash art! Very stylish!
- Sound effects are super fun.
- You should list your controls in the description page, I think I got most, but I may have missed something.
- The trigger volumes behind the doors are actually visible in-game :D.
- The credits page shows an empty tomb, there is nothing there.
- Very small nitpick, but it would be nice to have the zip file named after the project, for easier identification.
At one point I was running around with 1 hp, that was fun :D. It's just my take, but I think the shop prices are a bit steep. Keep working on it!

Shop prices and also Enemy Levels and Gold drop will need some time to get balanced right i guess. ^^
