Interesting take on the theme! Would be nice to have a fast forward so you could get a good idea of the patterns faster.
Not bad variant of the classic - but perhaps it could use sort of penci mode, where you draw your own starting shapes pixel by pixel?
I had to give it a second try to understand what's going on here ;) I have to say that it's a very interesting way to show some concepts of alghorithms, simulations and life.
It would be good to put there some in-game information about rules to be able to read it while watching the simulation working. And some music too!
Love that life simulation! The random mode does a bit too much for my taste, but placing specific patterns explicitly creates some really cool evolutions!
