im trying to get the zip file size down to 1GB :'(
I believe if you contact itch.io support they can help you in getting the zip uploaded if its over 1GB, I don't know what the timeline is for them to be able to do that. Sorry you're having problems with this. :( When you do get it uploaded I will be very happy to rate your game!! :)
This looks like just the exe for a unity project. Can you upload the entire build folder in a Zip? It doesn't launch without those files.
