Short description of the game
Find the bodies of the 5 missing children you buried years before and free their souls.

Theme
We interpreted the theme ‘missing’ as literally finding missing things. You are finding the bodies of the dead children you killed many years ago. We wished to showcase this lore point more in game but unfortunately due to time constraints we prioritised making the game polished as possible over including lore points.

Development Process
All of us are in TUD, which made communication quite easy. We had not worked together as a team before this. Due to us all having busy schedules we chose to not have anyone extra on the team from another time zone as we didn’t believe we could make the time. We had a smooth development process, with only one feature (being able to go on the boat in the water) not working in the end. The final body was going to be in the water but instead it is just on the boat, which we believe is still a workable fix and makes the game playable. We are all very proud of this project and learned a lot from it, which was our main goal in creating ‘Echos of Regret’. It was our first times including a visual inventory system in a game which was super cool to add! We hope people have as much fun playing as we did creating!
