Forest?
The Forest can be a scary place when you first enter it but as you get to know it - you will make a connection to it. Once you have a connection to the forest, you will work harder to preserve it. The more people who connect with the land around them -- the more land will be preserved for future generations.

Theme
The player enters the forest scared and it feels like a dark place. As they travel around the forest they come across the people of the forest that tell them stories and teach them something about the forest. The player plays a couple of mini-games to earn items that help them talk to the forest spirits. The spirits will then open up and reward the player hearts to make a connection to the soul of the forest. In the end, the player is not scared anymore and the forest feels like a lighter place to be.

Comments

1. Wholesome and lovely, combines premise, gameplay elements, narrative and a message into a coherent package. Teaching the players both to be closer to nature, and even some practical skills to go along with it.

2. Thematically spot-on.

3. Props for Tapio painting!
