Really enjoyed the atmosphere, visuals and audio of the game, it felt really alive.
The fact that it's an infinite runner as a 2d platformer kind of game is quite unique.
I really enjoyed the jump and attack choice, with obstacles that are enemies that actually attack you, it felt nice to have to attack with a good timing.
The replayable aspect is interesting, but would need more rewards and reason to replay in the long term (which is something more complicated to implement though)
My improvement points would be the jumping which is too long and hard to control, it needs adjustment. It currently makes the game feel out of the player's control. The coins sound and delay didn't feel responsive enough when collecting them too.
With some fixes and more polish I think this can be a really nice game, great work!
Making a unique game like this which feels pretty alive is awesome I love it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you can come up with over time :)
Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to play the game :)
I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere, visuals, and gameplay. I agree that adding more rewards for replayability is important and will definitely look into that in future updates. I also appreciate your feedback on the jump mechanics and coin collection, and I'll work on making the jump more responsive and enhancing the coin collection experience.
Really cool looking game, I loved the art and the sound design did you make them yourself? There are some kinks to work out like the player is def to close to the right making it hard to see what's coming and the jump is a little high and unresponsive but otherwise great job and congrats on finishing the bootcamp!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to play my game. I used online assets for the art and sound to focus on the gameplay mechanics, but I created the sprite animations myself. I completely agree with your points about the player positioning and jump mechanics, those are definitely areas I’m planning to improve in my next update :)
