Good work! It's not exactly an original concept but you're doing a lot with it while keeping it simple. there's not a lot going on visually but the color palette is well done. A bit of polish with some visual effects and sound would be the next step. I would try removing the grid as well and see how that feels. As for gameplay improvements, i recommend showing the optimal number of moves when a player solves the puzzle.

Pretty minimalistic, nice design and the movements count reminds me of the tower of Hanoi. Missing sound effects/general music, beside this, it's a nice game. nice work!
