Since Mickey Mouse is now in public domain (or so i think, since only the 1928 version is in public domain),can i do a game for it?

If yes, which game engine should be used? I would want a simple and easy to use engine and that works on old hardware (since mine used Intel HD Graphics from 2011 that looks like it could be 3000(. I think Godot is a good candidate but...Only the LTS version.

Yes, you can do a Mickey Mouse game! However, with the caveats that

A. you can only do the Mickey Mouse from the Steamboat Willie cartoon, not from later cartoons

B. you can't make people think you are produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Walt Disney Company.

As long as you follow those two rules, you should be fine!
