I found the overall battle system very nice, traversing the world map was, as the post before me already mentioned a visually understimulating experience, the overall concept of that as a method to select ones engagement was good.
I would've loved to see an overview of my accumulated bonus items of some sort.
And the game experienced the same issues I am now familiar with when text was drawn on the background layer.
Sadly not too much of a story, but neat mechanics.
Enjoyed the turn based battles, and the music! The "map" scene could do with some more love to add in some more cool graphics. I wasn't sure what the other screen was, where it updated things happening with some icons on the left? But they I got that it was an item selection screen.
Theme was spot on - very good! Played it till I won eventually - liked the different characters!
Still a good start to something that could be very cool - just work on the graphics - more pirates and jolly rogers... the better! haha
