  • It's hard to make sense of this while being unfamiliar with the source material, but I enjoyed the abstract art style. I don't think I've ever seen a playable adaptation of a story like this before on the GBA! I would've liked to see a version that takes more time to establish the characters, or maybe a version that keeps things more mysterious but goes all-in on ambience, in keeping with the 'lots of little vignettes' feeling that you've established.
  • Great idea adapting this for gba! I think it needs a bit more work still, as it's fairly short.
  • Good story :) Some notes: - The start button should not be used to advance to the next line of text, the A button would be better I think. - The graphics work surprisingly well for being so simple. - You can move the character out of bounds in some scenes. - A small piece of music would help the game a lot.

Jam ROM submission

Ok - understood! I attached the GBA ROM file as "MYGAMENAME_jam.gba".

I get that if you're using a keyboard it might feel better, but for a GBA game, the start button is not a good choice for continuing the story.
