Hi Raffile, congrats on your submission to the jam! I liked the evil backstory to the game and the music. I think things would be much better with a bit of direction, I was unsure where to go and explored for a bit killing enemies. I found the rooftop of a building but I didn't know if that's where I was meant to be.

I think you did well with the art on top of the pure black screen, it looks super-retro. I'll have to check out this Byond engine as I've never heard of it before!

Thank you jf1x for the reply! I am happy you enjoyed the backstory to the game and the music it means a lot to me.  So you where in the right location it was just boss fight time lol (it doesn't spawn unless you kill the enemies down stairs) and I too believe it needs a little direction as well!

So, this is the BYOND engine http://www.byond.com/ I have been using it off and on for 10 years! Mostly for online games as the engine handles all the networking and stuff for you it's pretty cool. I feel in love with it when I was 16 years old but recently returned to it as I wanted to well do this, spread the word of it lol.

This can play much smoother if it isn’t on a choppy grid. The 4-color rule is kind of broken with the opacity changes in the title screen.

The rule said at a time didn't it?

(Amending) so you mean, the text on screen right? Sorry about that that's a fault of the style of text I was trying to have the engine render. I didn't notice it until it was too late! Thank you for playing.
