Hey, so I love astroids so don't take this the wrong way but... Why doesn't it loop when you get to the edge? Also, if you are on the edge and trying to shoot nothing comes out of your ship made me very sad. Anyways pretty decent game.

I enjoy this game quite a bit. Currently on the second "level" (had to stop after finally dying to play other games) and so far have been enjoying myself. No lie I was focusing on an enemy that was infront of me and didn't even know something ran behind me until I flipped around and nearly threw my keyboard. Do wish there was a way around the corrosive slime and also kind of wish that mana was universal, but it's really fun regardless!
I like this game a lot it is quite challenging and a lot of fun overall. However I did encounter something that annoyed me making phase one super hard, when the fruits are falling on either of the far sides it's not possible to grab them forcing them to launch and what not (which don't get me wrong is a fun concept) making it hard to collect fruits to move to phase two.
Really enjoy the game though! Phase two is a challenge I haven't mastered yet but will work towards it.
So buddy. I can do a few things for you. I messed up on the exe creation xD, anyways, hit login at the top of that little window it gives you. Then where it says account go down to Guest. After that hit login. After that's done you should be able to hit the join on the "Local Game" now if that doesn't work (Sorry again I messed up on this exe.) you will need to DL the "Host Files" as well as the Engine. http://www.byond.com/ (The Engine) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ncmji3qmblcbwp8/ScreamJam.rar?dl=0 (The game) thank you (for this route you will need to download both of them After that you hit the DMB file (BYOND executable) and itll run).
Thank you jf1x for the reply! I am happy you enjoyed the backstory to the game and the music it means a lot to me. So you where in the right location it was just boss fight time lol (it doesn't spawn unless you kill the enemies down stairs) and I too believe it needs a little direction as well!
So, this is the BYOND engine http://www.byond.com/ I have been using it off and on for 10 years! Mostly for online games as the engine handles all the networking and stuff for you it's pretty cool. I feel in love with it when I was 16 years old but recently returned to it as I wanted to well do this, spread the word of it lol.
So right away I was kind of trying to play this game blind due to downloading the game right here with no instructions on how to make the game work. I also didn't realize that swapping your ships color would actually lot you defeat the other ships. Once I figure that out though I had a lot of fun on this game.
I like the concept behind this game. Mirrored movements where you control two things on the screen at once and use that to solve problems was an idea I had fumbling around sometime ago. Seeing it in action was gorgeous, for some reason though it won't let me download it but I am happy that it is playable in the browser. I had the same problem as the Marco person though where my mirrored image can't keep their door open for more then a second thus making it force me to quickly hit the button and rush the other me to his door. Pretty cool though!
Player character can't die. In the rush of trying to get this posted before the jam ended I totally forgot about that. In the future, after the Jam I will make it so the player can not only die but it takes half the accumulated EXP for next level up on death spawning you back in at a checkpoint. For now I guess it's a tutorial and combat show off.
I did not have the time to finish a magic tutorial as planned either, to use the fireball spell if you buy it is, switch with W and shoot with S.
