I screwed up on the assets front… feel free to disqualify me.

Hi,

This was my first jam ever and reading through the community I clearly hadn’t read all the rules as I the player sprites and music came from free resources.

Game: Magic & Legend: Time Knights

As a result, feel free to disqualify as appropriate.

Anyway… it’s been a ton of fun learning and getting something done to a deadline.

thanks for the fun

Giles

We've all been there. Great that it has been a learning experience for you!

thanks … I look forward to playing the submissions :-)

Well,  for those interested, I did upload my "submission" along with screenshots, video, box and cartridge label art :)  Check it out if you're interested...

Magic and Legend: Time Knights by Ghamson (itch.io)

Also added a future plans / roadmap into the description.

I also screwed up on this front, using music because I can't do music myself. But also I didn't see the rule about needing to only show four colors on screen at once. So I guess I should remove my submission as well. *sigh*

looks like a cool entry… I plan to give it a go along with the other submissions :-)

yeah, I find it weird that the rules/community seem so strict on enforcing these small details which really takes the fun out of jamming. We accidentally packaged our game missing 1 .js file and once the clock struck it was game over,  so we're unable to join the game list.

@mlinsenbard That's unfortunate! Participants were encouraged to upload their game in whatever state it's in throughout the jam period - you can always include devlogs or comments in the description pointing to fixed versions of the file. We just don't allow changes to the main files once the jam has started to prevent people continuing work after the jam period.

The strictness is new for this year since introducing prizes.

Ouch! Sorry to hear this. We'll make sure to make the jam criteria clearer for GBJAM10.

Thanks for your submission. I'll leave it available for people to play, but I'll include a note on the game that it's technically disqualified from prizes in the event that you win.
