Do we export our games into Windows and Mac releases, or do we strictly upload them as a browser game?

it says in the rules that it must be a browser game

Just making sure, I thought it read kinda funny. Never made a browser game so first time's the charm.

I've made a broswer game before but only becaus ei used html, css, and js

The requirement is a browser export, but GDevelop allows you to export to other platforms if you want, for your own use. However, for this competition, it must be exported as a browser game.

The idea is the same, though, really. Just focus on making the game. GDevelop will take care of exporting the right things for it to play on a browser window. Let me know if you need pointers on how to do that, as we have tutorials on how to export and upload such games to itch.

Thanks for the help! It's not my first time releasing a Gdevelop game on Itch / for PC, but I had never released a browser game. Glad to know there's not much difference in the setup/export.
