At the beginning it's hard not to die... Also you have to open two tabs to play the game.... Other than that the sounds are nice and it's a good use of the physics. Good luck in the jam ! (Edit : Strikethrough)

Developer

It also works on single player where you can play on your own

Sorry i didn't saw you could be alone in the lobby...

I feel as though this desperately needs the platforms visible on screen before you have to make your first jump: there isn't reliably enough time for a second which makes the very start feel like a bit of a lottery. That said, it has the potential to be a fun physics game and I see how it matches the theme.

Developer

After the game starts, you have 5 seconds of invincibility until the ground turns fully red. You can also hold and release the arrow when the START text pops up to get a boost :)

Nice game, it is annoying that you can't really see the platforms in advance though.

Developer

If you go too fast, you will no longer to go higher than the camera's bounds, hence endorsing the name "Terminal Velocity" :))

Thanks for playing tho

I lost, I'm not very good at it.

Would have been nice to have a solo mode that just lets you quicker into the game.

Good job!

I love physics games, where the charachter is moveable object. When I only started developing, that was the only type of games I was creating. Anyways, perfect game, wish you good luck in the game jam.

Dope sounds and I like how the background changes the higher you get. Dont know how you got over 10k score though lol. Mine was almost 900 after a few attempts

Developer

In order to get higher scores, there are some things to consider;

-The platforms height and the ground speed gradually increase over time. This means that when you're at the beginning (under 1200m height), you should focus more on navigating through the platforms. Use your special ability using right click (or tapping with two fingers) to create a forcefield that will then launch you upwards. (If you're under a platforms, it will teleport you over it)

-Aim also plays a major role since you will have to gradually increase your speed as well, just like the ground. Playing the game for a while usually does the trick as you get used to the controls.

Anyhow, thanks for playing! ^^

I TRIED.. I FAILED..

Developer

lol its okay xD you can always keep practicing, it's pretty difficult since you have to train your aim.

Anyways, GG and thanks for playing :D

Developer

I'll be making an in-depth tutorial on how to play soon, but it you need any help, don't be afraid to reach out to me in the comments here ^^
