I love the aesthetic of the 2D raygun and phone in the 3D world, it works really well. Similarly, I love the music: was it written by one of the team? There were a lot of places where it felt like sounds were missing, and getting coverage for more events and interactions in sound would be a worthwhile bit of polish. Also, on dying against the boss, I very abruptly accidentally progressed straight back to the start, and did not feel like redoing the whole game from that point up to the boss battle. It would be nice to implement a kind of checkpoint system.

Thanks for sharing the game, I love the aesthetic :)

Hey, first thank’s a lot it means so much you took time writing a comment ! Our sound design really needs more work indeed, it’s something we wanted to give more time but we still struggle with it ahah. You’re right about checkpoint, will definitely add it when I have some time to ! Thank’s again for your comment !

This made me giggle! And I'm sure my mom is indeed proud of how badass a janitor i have become 😎

Okay so just to get the nitpicks out of the way - the FOV felt uncomfortably narrow and the mouse sensitivity was way too high (and there was no small window upon pressing escape), it appeared like the boss’s attacks continued a little bit longer than the sound effect did (unless it’s just a skill issue), and I guess producing a WebGL build (instead of just a downloadable build) might be worth considering as well.

That said, very nice game.

I mean this as a very glowing compliment, but this reminds me of the sorts of games I’ve seen by some of the other entrants of the So Bad It’s Good Jam, and I absolutely love that sort of stuff. Chef’s kiss. Amazing aesthetics, the game’s rather well put together with solid gameplay, tastefully scuffed dialogue, I love it.

Great work!

Thanks you so much ! FOV was clearly something that we didn’t think at first and feel so obvious when it’s mentionned ahah, same for sensitivity (that’s why the sensitivity settings has no design ^^’). We appreciate a lot this kind of feedback ! Thanks you again !

The art style and the music were fantastic. Had that notebook drawing feel which made it feel very cosy. My only gripe was the FOV.

Thank’s ! Was the FOV too wide or too narrow ? Thank’s again for you comment :D
