nice idea but way to many bugs
:( sorry about that. Do you mind to explain the bugs with more details? I can work on them later after the jam, thanks!
1) if you spam space you get very fast 2) you can walk on water if you try hard enough and third you can grab an enemie if you press on him in the right moment but congrats on finishing your game !!!
thanks! These are very helpful, I'll definitely take a look later!
after clicking the 3rd red button i could suddenly walk over water and off screen. then the music and sound stopped. but before that it was fun.
hmm? there is a 3rd button??? I guess my game creates something I have no idea of lol. Sorry for the bug I'll take a look later!
The movement is an interesting take on the theme. I couldn't really understand why sometimes the orbs moved faster than other times. Was it to discourage someone from spam clicking? Fun world and art as well. Good job!
Because I use the torque to make it move and it takes some time to get to the fast speed. I don't quite know to make it work at a constant speed and didn't have time to fix it due to the time limit. Thanks for playing I'll fix that later
Thematically this game fits perfectly!
I really liked the fun tones, the mechanic was nice to play with, and the fact that your rotational speed increased with time gave it more agency.
Well done!
The game is really fun, I enjoyed the controls a lot.
Its a pitty you couldn't add the win condition, even a simple "you win" with the same restart button would make it feel more complete.
Yeah I agree. I should make the priority of creating win condition higher. Thanks for the advice!
I like control of the players, a tutorial would be nice as I didn't know how to play at first.
Agree! I planned to add some text on the ground to teach players how to play but totally forgot(and out of time). Thanks for the advice will definitely think about it later!
It is original and daring ! I really appreciate that. I think a little tutorial or warm-up would help the player better to interact with the world and how to move and such. But I picked it up quickly. I think the next step if you want to continue this mechanic and game is to think on how to balance the enemies' movements with the player? Specially taht we have almost no control over the speed of the balls and sometimes it's inevitable to get hit by the bees. Really cool concept ! Cheers :)
if you tap quickly you can slow down the movement of your balls to time when to pass
I noticed that when I playtest myself lol. Really have no time to fix this. Some ideas I have was to make the distance between two balls closer, and add some hint when the enemy is about to attack. Thanks for the advice!
Interesting game. The goal of the game is not clear from the very beginning. I think it would be possible to make the fish move in the water, the game would look better.
Sure that's definitely something I'd like to add. I was planning to make the fish move away when the ball "hit" it. Maybe after the jam!
Nice concept, the way the movement works can make for a very unique and interesting game. It felt a little slow to me though, there was a lot of downtime where all you were doing was waiting (like for the cloud to come over towards you). I also felt like the art was kind of all over the place, a lot of different assets and sprites that are not made for eachother. Nice concept though, keep up the good work!
Totally agree with you! I'm about to reduce the length of the distance between the balls and speed up the rotation, and maybe redo some art. Which part of the art do you think need redo most? Thanks for playing anyway!
I think maybe the flames? they could use some animation for sure, good luck!
Cool concept. Would love to see where you will take the project if you keep continuing to work on it. This might just be me, but i became a bit impatient with the perceived downtime while waiting for the rotation to line up and just generally moving through the map.
Totally agree with you. I'm considering shortening the distance between the balls and the time to rotate and add more interactions to the level, so the player would not get bored and impatient. I'm also considering how to add some interactions so it has to be done by two balls. I don't have time to polish this stuff up, but after the jam, I'll see what I can do with it! Thanks for playing it!
Great idea! I had fun, there wasn't any objection to the game, i take it you ran out of time? anyways i had the blast playing and it all looked good.
Thanks for playing! yeah I ran out of time, the current objection is just collect items around. Thanks for playing it!
haha, i love the idea and I am sure it could lead to really funny and frustrating scenario.
Regarding that version of the game, I feel it lacks some kind of objective... right now i just go around and collect stuff which does not seem to do anything so as much as I had a little fun doing some dodgy moves around, i quickly ended up wondering why I should keep going around :)
My advice : add some skills, the are plenty movement modificators you could apply here, some dash, jumps, etc... some attacks maybe also
Anyway, good job and keep up :)
I totally agree with you! I have planned a lot but didn't have time to implement them. This is the first game I really need to design a level and it takes much longer than I expected. Thanks for playing my game!
Very cute idea that was executed fairly well! Obviously if you wanted you could go a lot further with rotational movement, but this is pretty good strictly mechanically speaking. Some sounds were obnoxious though (namely the one when you step into the shallow water or whatever that was).
Thanks for playing it! Yeah because of the time limit I have a lot of ideas and polish undone. I picked those sounds at the last minute so some of them are not the best. But thanks again for liking it!
