I don't want to sound too critical, but I my second fight was against Heather. I was lv 1 and she lv 7. I won by playing my highest rank cards every time unless I had a heart throb in which case I played him. There is never a situation where I would not immediately play the heart throb. I like the concept and the visuals, but the game play needs a bit of work.
This is good feedback for Heather. All the NPCs have different strategies. Some are more random than others. Some are keeping track of the cards you play, and assigning predictive weights based on recency -- in that case, overplaying the heartthrob could backfire (I think I gave this behavior to Tammy). Some of them are more or less psychologically dedicated to a particular suit. For example, Marcie loves the Bad Boy -- if you're automatically playing the Heartthrob and she has a Bad Boy, she'll win every time. Dana loves the Heartthrob -- there you're at risk of losing by card rank. All of the NPC strategies will need tuning, though. I didn't have the time I would have liked to spend on that before the deadline.
