Interesting idea, however it is very unpredictable. Perhaps getting to see your opponent's deck before deciding which cards to use would help?

Cool that you made it in pico-8 but it felt a bit unpredictable as it is
I didn't really see it. Every time I'd just pick the cards with the highest number, and that worked out. Maybe if there was some information about what you're up against or some other design choices the idea behind it could have worked, but this execution sadly didn't
Really fun and unique idea. Only complaint is that I wish the cards played a little slower, or you could advance it at your own pace with a button push, as I often felt the cards were played too quickly and I couldn't keep up with what was going on.
