Cool idea! It'd be cool if there was something other than keys that you had to equip at some point - maybe there are enemies and you have to decide to drop the key and take a weapon instead - maybe there's a map that you can pickup to see what's ahead. Just some ideas to diversify the game play. It felt very rewarding to get to the end!
Thank you! Yeah, we wanted to add power up inducing items instead of keys and give the player the possibility to combine the items to create new ones, but we hadn't time, so we are planning to add those features in a future release.
Glad you liked it!
Nice overall idea but juggling keys becomes boring after a while. Well done.
Thank you! Actually it is boring. As a game made only with that element, it does not offer too much. Being the "only one inventory slot" the main mechanic, we originally planed using instead of keys, power ups, and having the possibility of combine power ups to create a new one to enhance the mechanics without adding new inventory slots. Obviously, developing a game based on the original idea in 48 hours was far from what we were able to do. But we like the idea, so you can wait for a new release of a game using this base mechanic.
Thank you for playing!!!
Good game. I enjoyed completing it. (I also found what I think is a bug: after opening the first purple door, climbing down the ladder and pressing the 's' key at the same time will get my character into the wall. Maybe it's an easter egg but if so, there should be something to make the player realise it was intentional.) Well done!
Haha, actually it is a bug, I think that the reason is that we got careless while painting the grid and painted that part in a layer with no collision check. Thanks for playing!!!
You're very welcome! It was fun
Project submitted! Now nothing can stand between watching the EVO and me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO1 GO1 GO1!!!!!!!
