Amazing atmosphere and really good take on the theme. One of the best games i've played so far. I had a bit similar idea when making my game with the diffrence being that in my game you can still interact with doors and such while having only one item. Really well done!
Thank you for the nice comment! I will check your game
This is as interesting as it is gloomy, it's a nice game, the main mechanic of having only one arm makes things really hard to get through but it really helps give us the panic the character must feel, nicely done !
Thanks for the feedback!
I appear to have beaten it. However, the third monster just kinda disappeared. Also, I never figured out what "hold position" is for.
I think in addition to the positioning of the flashlight at the beginning, it would've helped to have a more complex arrangement of the obstacles before the first monster. I ended up learning the limits of the moving stuff mechanic while running from the monster. The ideas that you can only push from the back, can't pull, and can't push if there's another movable thing in the way were not obvious. In particular, the moment I realized I couldn't push a thing because another thing of the same orientation was blocking it was jarring, as that contextually makes no sense.
hold position is for looking around. When you press arrows with ctrl, you can rotate the player without moving
Art style is lovely! the little touches like the dripping blood really polish it off. One arm is a good match the the theme. I was never sure what I was supposed to be doing but I kinda liked it because it built the spooky atmosphere more!
Thank you for playing. Did you take the flashlight at the start of the game ? I realized afterward that I may have not making it obvious that you have to take the flashlight and use it to move shaft futher ahead
I figured it out after a couple tries :) its not too hard to work out
