this was amazing 5-5
This was an absolute blast!!! By the end of the second stage, my hand was SORE but it was well worth it! Running around the map was incredibly fun. I love the difference in gameplay as you slowly melt, it added stakes. I was always shooting back to the nearest ice station the instant I made any progress! The only two issues I had were that some areas were a tad difficult to bounce to or out of–I ended up dying because I couldn't get out of the small cave near the final exit. But I managed to figure out the technique the next round, which was quite satisfying! The other part was it was difficult to read the signs, as I was sliding by them at such high speeds. Maybe later y'all could consider putting them in the ice stations? But those are tiny things, and for 48 hours, this is a really impressive and fun game to play!
I wasn't able to enter the gate on Windows - am I missing something obvious? This is in the first level right after the sign.
A sign post was accidentally moved in front of another one explaining that you need to freeze the fountains first. Stand in the fountain for a bit and it'l freeze, afterwards the gate will change to another sprite and you can enter it
Thanks for the tip! I went back with that in mind and beat it - I enjoyed it a lot! At first I didn't know how it tied into the 'Out of Control' theme, but after playing for a bit I noticed how significantly the melting affects your movement (deceleration, bounciness, etc). It was a lot of fun and I think it has significant potential if the idea is refined and more content is made. Good job!
Pretty fun, reminds me a lot of super meat boy. Just wish the camera was a little more zoomed out. Overall very solid entry.
