Cool game! I could see this as a great middle level for an innovative bullet hell, and the control field is a really clever mechanic. The fact that you still (if you're more skilled than me XD) have a chance to recover rather than instant death, or generically taking damage is really cool!
Hey, glad you like it! Thank you for the comment. Yes it is quite a bit challenging. It took most of my 48 hours trying to beat the levels to make sure you can actually finish the game. Maybe I could have actually made it easier.
I like this idea a lot. But the game is very unforgiving to mistakes. I had no idea how to get back into an area where I could control the ship more easily. Also, it seems like one of the types of enemies can pull me out of the control area?
More affordances/juice can really help the player intuitively understand when they are hit, when they hit something, and the state of the ship.
Also, I died a few times after getting launched in a direction (probably from my own lack of control outside the zone) and was going way faster than I could reason about. I'd recommend a cap on player speed.
Thank you for the feedback. I do agree that balance could be much better. Yes some enemies do pull you out of the control area. I could have been more clear about that as well. I will consider all this if I ever come back to update the game after the voting. Thank you for trying the game out and also taking your time to leave a comment as well!
