Concept is good, the background music is a bit grating!

I think the fonts (although fitting for the pixel art aesthetic) made it difficult to read the effects on the potion ingredients.

I liked the graphics - they all match the chosen aesthetic - and gives a bit of a manic miner / zx spectrum feel to the game.

Congrats on the submission!

Pretty good game concept, but a bit poor in execution. It'd be really fun I think if each potion and set of ingredient was custom tailored, but the randomness can make it either pretty much impossible, or stupidly easy. I found that you can always win if you get ingredients that divide the temperature/thickness, since you can just re-use them until the value hits 0. Also the music is really repetitive which... props for making it yourself at least!

I have been tricked into doing math! I feel so betrayed! I signed up for fun video games, not balancing equations!

Dialing back the drama a bit, even though math + stress = ??!?!? for me, I was still kinda charmed by your game. It feels a little bit more like Math Blaster than a game I'd pick up for myself right now, but a little time spent on the presentation and affordances might just clear that right up.

That said, just because it didn't rub up against my personal biases, I won't dismiss that feeling like an edutainment game isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's a reason people like me remember things like Math Blaster or the Jumpstart series, and if that's the direction you want to go then I think you're off to a good start.
