How does your game fit the theme?
In this card game you are out of control of when you die. Rather than a traditional health system, which is instead used for something else, rather one card leads to your death as the finalization of a pact with the devil.

I don't really see what pure random on death brings to the game, it just comes to me as unfair.
On the actaul game it's a bit too unfinished to be enjoyable, this kind of game requires a lot of visual cue and effect to be fun.
As a side note drawing only one card doesn't help the pacing of the game, but I understand the limitation is due to the "random death" mechanic
I like the Dante's Inferno theme. Unlike other battle card games, this is a card game with a pre-built deck.
The mana counter has difficulty resetting its display every round.
Not having control over death is kinda lame... The only way to prevent it that I see is shuffling after divination, but even then it isn't a guarantee. In my opinion, "Out of control" does not mean "Completely unfair".
