How does your game fit the theme?
When the time stone gets stolen, the player gets catapulted back and forth through the centuries. Time and Space is out of control! (Even though all art and sound effects were pre-existing, the music was written during the jam. This is my first ever game )

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

No

We used pre-existing art

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

No

We used pre-existing audio

Really original concept and game overall! Love the art style even though I'm not sure if those are your own that you created on your time or open asset (either way, it is fine, I use open asset too). Well integrated and nice touch with the rendering setting to give it an 8 bit look.

That being said, my big problem with your game is that It's really hard to understand what you have to do. The jump between the two timeline was a bit hard to grasp, I even thought I was teleporting. Once I grasp it, I was confused about what the goal of the game is at that point. I walk around just so that out of a sudden the game is just you returning the time stone to win ?

Anyway, the concept is really cool, but need some work. Overall good job for your first jam :)

Thanks for your detailed feedback and encouraging words. Story will get a huge overhaul!

Loved the concept of this. I reall ylike time travel mechanics in general, but this is so well executed for the limited time available. Great job

If this is your first game, you are on the right path! :) I loved the art style & the concept of the game, what I think it could be improved on is the pacing (everything happens so fast I don't know where I am), the overall sense of objective (I get the adventure/dungeon crawl vibe but I don't know what exactly I have to do) & be careful that some tutorial texts overlap in the UI & makes them unreadable. But overall, better than most games here, good job!!!

Hey hey! That's very good for your first game!

Better than most of the games in this jam!

I like how you used the low res philter to fit the esthetic of a dungeon. I don't know what pre-existing assets did you use, but you definitely used them in a correct way. The game looks consistent. (apart from the hp flasks).

You did a very good job! I wish you luck in your future game dev adventures!

It would help a lot if you would rate my game as well! Thank you \(^-^)/

Thanks for your kind words, I'll keep working on this game for sure. With HP flasks you mean the ones in the HUD or the ones that are in-game?

Checked out and rated your game as well :)

I like the concept and the approach you took of Time and Space being out of control. Bravo!

That was a neat experience. Very fun idea to have the constant time swapping. I enjoyed exploring and having to spam quick treasure quickly. I did somehow manage to teleport to the top of the wall at one point. not sure if that was a bug. All in all, good job at making a fun 3D experience in 48 hours. Keep up the good work.

Please check our little game out when you have a moment.

Thank you for the feedback, glad you had a good time playing. The teleporting on top of walls is a bit of a necessity to avoid the player teleporting into objects and falling through terrain, so instead he falls from above onto the map. In a further developed version I intend to also have things to discover on top of the walls, so it feels more intentional.

Will check your game later!

I like it, it was fun going from place to place in time

Thanks for playing!!!

The swapping back and forth took to long to play, making it quite slugish to move around. And while stunning, there wasn't much to do. Maybe a bit more time could have been spend on some sense of finality.

Developer

Thanks for checking out my first game ever. Agreed, some things need to get developed further, I'll put your suggestion on my list. Time got really tight for me at the end.

I love the jumping back and forth between times! it was a lot of fun!

Developer

Glad to hear that and thanks for playing!

You can fall out of the map if you walk into certain corners. I think I didn't quite discover all there is to see in the game. Nice art style, reminds me of A Short Hike.

Developer

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah, the levers and doors can cause the player character to fall through the floor sometimes. Didn't have time to fix it in the end. Thanks for playing!
