I liked. You can cheat by moving the stone all the time to the left or right in and jumping over the screen.

Great running game - controls were really easy to pick up  and felt smooth and natural.

I wasn't too sure what I was doing at first, then I saw Sisyphus catching up - and it became a fun race to keep ahead.

This is the second Sisyphus game I have played in this Game Jam. Who'd have thought he would become a popular game character?

The game is too big to fit in my browser, and when I try to zoom out, the text stays the same size making it unreadable.

The game is quite fun though

Interesting, sorry for your trouble!

Do you mind me asking what your resolution for your browser is? The game is hardcoded to a resolution about matching an iPhone screen, and I’ve tried it out on a few devices, but maybe your screen has less resolution than an iPhone?

1366 x 643 i think

Cute use of the theme! And a pretty simple but solid endless runner. I think it's a little on the easy side, as it's very easy to build up a lot of momentum and get to the point where Sisyphus can't really catch up to you; I'd also have liked to see different kinds of obstacles and challenges beyond just the rocks and the trees.

Thanks for the thoughts! We thought going fast was fun, and didn’t want to start the game off too hard when the player is getting used to the controls, but don’t worry! Sisyphus gets faster every 25 points and it gets really tough by around 150 points!

I really enjoyed this. It's super simple, but the controls feel good to play. Nice job!

Hah, I love the concept of Sisyphus’ rock having consciousness, and its sole purpose being to roll away from him. Jokes aside, this is a solid implementation - it’s good that the rock wraps around from side to side if you go out of bounds! I’d have either limited the maximum speed of the rock a little, or made Sisyphus faster - because once you get the ball rolling (literally), it’s very hard for him to catch up and pose a threat.

Thanks for the kind words!

The difficulty was a bit of a decision on our part - we've made games in the past that were too hard for the 5 minutes people spend on game jam games. In this game, Sisyphus gets faster every 25 points, so we were trying to make the intro accessible but it should get pretty intense around score 100+!

Loved the art and the music!
