Love the sprite work and the music and the game is quite engaging too.
Really loved the art style, it looks like it's on of the ye old flash games and is super fun.
I loved how he got the powerup when you died! I think it'd be cool if there were more variety in the mario-inspired gameplay elements, like the mario guy breaking bricks or playing as other enemy types - like the guy who throws hammers.
Difficulty felt quite spot on! Especially when he's chasing you close behind. Well done.
