Interesting concept! I absolutely love the visuals and especially the colours picked for this! It's very pleasing to the eyes!
Highly recommending this excellent palette! I'll probably using it some more.
I really wish I could see the heroes battling, bummer... still, this game was quite interesting. A complete version would be really nice! The visuals are solid, and the music might be a short loop, but more stuff with the same style would be really cool.
Just my opinion: using the mouse and having a bigger screen would be nice additions. Faster screen transitions would be a plus too. But I guess you were going after a Game Boy aesthetic, and if that's the case, you nailed it.
Also, did you use GBStudio/GBDK? I'm asking just out of curiosity 🙂
This was done in gbstudio. Really sick software. Originally, the Sphere of Annihilation would immediately destroy someone unless sober Dalia was wary enough to tell the group to avoid it. Free Beer would get consumed by Orcs or Exolix if you had them on the same floor. Jammno usually crushes encounters or boulder traps and punishes swarms but gets disabled pretty readily. I ended up losing a bunch of time figuring out how to make it and ended up not being able to do phases 2-4. Thanks for the feedback though!
Wow ! Very cool idea! It seems like you did a lot of work! We really have the old classic RPG vibe (first few seconds in the game I had the feeling I was playing the 1st Pokémon gen on gameboy ahah).
Art is great (please add a fullscreen version in your embeded player so I can see it up close)
Good work!
Thanks for the feedback! I love this "super gameboy" color palette which worked perfectly with the world.
