Thank you for your feedback, and sorry you lost but don't worry you are not the only one that have been defeated by these damn foxes ahah.
The issue you are talking about was a choice when releasing the game for the jam because we did not want the player to feel like he lost his retreat for this level without clicking on the button. It will be added in the post jam version because you are not the only one to find it weird.
Really cool idea! I liked the fact that you could put two actions in one color and change them while the game progresses. I think I understand why you had to reset the character position to the checkpoint at every change in the level (I am guessing moving platforms timing were the issue). However as a player it feels kinda weird and you want to see your guy continue running as you edit the level.
Very good entry! Thanks for the game
Very well polished game! I agree with advices on getting the corners smoother that could ease the player change of directions. Also it could be frustrating getting killed multiple times in a row without any chance to survive because you spawn enclosed around walls very close to the PagMan.
But overall this is a great game and I had fun. Thanks for your work!
Yes sprint speed as the base speed is good, also try to make to have a different gravity force after the character reached the highest point of the jump and stuff like that. Actually there is a great GMTK video about it named "Why does celeste feel so good to play?" that could help you see what I mean ahah
Platformer controller is really difficult to implement, but if you want a better game feel, you should definitely check this kind of stuff :)
Played until the end. I loved the little platforming puzzles you created. I was really into it while playing. Just please remove inertia, it's just sooo frustrating.
The art was really good too, making it a whole game where mechanics and storytelling fit together. We need more games like this!
Very great job!
Once upon a time... a jammer played your game and liked it very much :)
The art produced is really amazing for this short amount of time. The platformer needs a bit more work to give an even better game feel. Personnaly, I was always using sprint since the speed was too slow by default.
Still, I had fun to play! Great job!
Great realization of the idea where the platforms are moving the character to solve the levels :)
I like the art style too. Very well done for this amount of time.
(just the rotation of the platform was a bit laggy, maybe due to the use of Unity's physics collision detection)
Still great game, thanks for sharing it!
