I LOVE ascii-style text games, it brings me so much nostalgia. This game is unusual but that makes it pretty memorable IMO. It's confusing and a little buggy, but overall I enjoyed the experience. I'm interested to see where you go from here!

Very weird game. it feels like it could be really cool but unfortunately i didn't understand much. Weirdly enough i was engaged and really wanted to understand.

Enjoyment: 3/5. Even though the game was pretty confusing, I had a pretty good time.

Creativity: 3/5. I would've never thought of playing as a shopkeeper, and even if it sounds a bit boring on paper it has some potential.

Presentation: Some things keep this game from being great. First, there is a bug where if you want to buy an object, you have to press the correct number, plus one. (ex. if the game tells you to press 4 to buy a certain object, you have to press 5. if you press 4, it'll buy the item #3) Second: sometimes, even if I have enough money, I can't buy what i want. No idea why. There are some other things, but it'd be complicated to explain.

Developer

Unfortunately a few bugs managed to sneak through into the finished game:

The biggest one being that whenever you buy or sell items the text doesn't get deleted and replaced as it should, it is instead deleted and replaced on the line above, the item is still purchased but the game displays it incorrectly.
