i'm not sure if i was just unlucky but i couldn't get to any kind of ending regardless of my choices :( at some point i'd just get completely stuck
but i really like the idea of being able to shape the narrative by deciding which book to sell to these people coming to your store! and i also really liked the breathing effect on character portraits and how their emotions are represented. made them feel really lively and non-static compared to how visual novel type games are normally :)
No you were not unlucky, before we exported the game i accidentally switched some layers and the endings are buggy because of it :( however we are planning on making a completed version of the game after the jam if you are interested!

I love this take on the theme! Game seemed to get stuck here and there making it hard to progress. The art and story were great! You're dialogue was really natural and funny! Sometimes it was a little hard to tell which character was talking because the text was the same color in the same place for both sides of the conversation. Great job! I'd happily play more of this game
Thank you for your feedback, i am very happy that you liked it! we see that there are some glaring issues with this game and we are planning to release a fixed version with cut content added back after the jam ends but unfortunately i don't think we will make a version much longer than it already is.
