The game revolves around making puzzles of objects (or concepts). Finishing a puzzle will unlock bigger puzzles made from the puzzle's object (example: finishing "brick" and "wood" unlocks "furnace"). In that way, the game plays with sizes (noticeable in the puzzle selection menu).
