How does your game fit the theme?
Players will create monolithic platforms using the letters of the alphabet to climb as high as they can. We normally think if the alphabet as small characters on a screen or paper, but in Spell Book, they are massive, looming structures.

Despite being for Widows, it wants a pck. file. (?)

(1 edit)

I got it running thanks to your link. If you could put the .pck link in the description maybe that would be good too. It's a fun idea! I love the somewhat creepy feeling of lighting and sound design, but it was really hard to see in general. Maybe you could add a climbing mechanic with stamina so you can get a little higher than if you can only run and jump

Developer

Dev here! Adding a note for anyone who tries to play it. This is my disqualifier, but I made the game for the jam and I would hate for anyone to want to try it and not be able to.

DISCLAIMER!!! You must download this file to the same directory as the .exe available on this page to play the game: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15p_sdXHEodRVzq0M5CXb0iywJFwg0F2W/view?usp=shari...

I appreciate that this will likely disqualify me from the jam but I would rather have the game be playable than give people an .exe that doesn't work on it's own. I messed up my upload of the game and didn't realize until the jam ended, so that's on me. Thanks for playing either way!!!
