Nice visual style!
Interesting implementation of the theme, I like it. I also really like the transition effect you've got when the ship scales up and down. It's subtle but it sells the effect. Artwork in general is cool. I hope the crew on that ship doesn't get motion sick!
Can't get past tutorial, says "protect yourself from both", but hitting wall with shield or without doesn't increment anything.

Sorry if the message wasn't clear enough. It refers to both the enemy projectiles as well as the hostile environment which you should be able to see as the purple smoke zone. Hope this helps!
okay, so there's near-invisible purple hue that's meant to not be seen as background element, okay. Only noticed that after dying randomly before the cave section
