How does your game fit the theme?
The attack option is given by a randomly chosen tetris piece, meaning the player has to rely on the luck of the dice (much like desperately hoping for a long piece in actual tetris)

(I am now in a rush to test as many games as possible to help, so please do not mind the cursory reviewing style.)

controls are QWERTY-only instead of layout-independent, BUT arrow keys are enabled

This is super original! :) … Yet, how is it die-related?? :o I can see how this is Tetris-related, though! ;)
The explanation you gave in the form amounts to have added some randomness, but I think the connection is a bit weak. No worries though, the game does not get judged on that criterion. X)

good idea having written the names of the powers/abilities!

Managed to beat it! :) The levels were reasonable, and the time counters give an incentive to try again.

The powers play well, very pleasant to play!

Just weirded out how it does not seem die-related (except if you interpret Tetris pieces as able to form a cube?), but otherwise, I like the game, for its originality and gameplay. :) The visuals are also rather nice, although simple, which is fitting seeing the universe chosen.

It's a nice idea and I managed to go through several levels, but this game needs instructions, at least a readme file or key names in on the inventory, I had to push random buttons to find the J.
Congrats on getting to the end of the gamejam

I put instructions in the game page, but I forgot people may not see that coming from the game jam. Here they are in case anyone else needs them:

CONTROLS:

  • WASD/arrowkeys to move
  • Space to jump
  • J to use your prepared attack
  • K to hold onto your prepared attack, or swap it with a held one
  • R to reset the level
  • Escape to pause
