Your sword drains your health and only killing the enemies it's restored. The enemies have also the ability to heal by draining some of its life.

Challenging game! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
The feel of the sword isn't very good, it needs a better animation and some sound FX, the game needs sound effects in general.
The art style is quite nice though, and consistent throughout so it looks quite good!
The boss designs are also nice, though they're a little easy, they have interesting mechanics!
Its got a great feel. I enjoyed playing, and felt challenged to kill these bosses! although all that blood... feeeling.... queezzzzyyy ......................... ok just regained consciousness. Nice job

This game is pretty cool. I'd love to see more of your boss ideas. Couple things: a little more feedback on the attacks would be better. I found myself staring at the health bar most of the time to tell if I was landing hits. Second, the boss with the turrets heals way too fast. He was kind of a pain. Maybe I just missed something. Third, some kind of message to say you won would be nice. After beating the second boss I just wandered around a bit.
