Good start! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I like the metroidvania feel. The platforming is a bit wonky but still manageable. The clone mechanic is cool but I didn't find much use for it except with the slimes. I sometime after the slimes and an enemy that kept moving the wall in front of him and the game reset without 0 lives. I like how the clone is linked with the lives and would like to see that expanded on.  Cool vibe!

Ohhh forgot to mention the room where the text talks about the jam. Funny stuff haha

You seem to have a positive outlook on my game. So thanks a lot ! I actually wanted to have more puzzles where you use the clones as platforms but unfortunately because of the wonky controls I had to skip that. In any case, consider following my account for news on full version.

The platforming doesn't really feel good, with some missed button presses, jumping being kind of janky (no gravity?) also not sure what the right mouse click does, but somehow I managed to complete the game. Not a fan of the stretched screen too. The main character sprite art is good though!

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'm actually trying to fix a lot of the problems you mentioned like the jump and how stretched the game looks for a full release. You didn't mention the main menu screens selection icon being a few pixels off. I wanted to fix that and the jump before the jam release but oh well. If you're interested in the full version of the game please consider following me for updates. And again thanks a lot you're my first commenter.
